About this role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our educational team. The successful candidate will act as a vital link between the home, school, and community, providing essential support to students to ensure their academic success and emotional well-being.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Crisis Intervention: Manage and respond to immediate crisis situations, providing support and stabilization for students and staff.
Family Liaison: Partner with parents and guardians to address concerns affecting student performance and facilitate access to community resources.
Advocacy: Represent the best interests of the student within the school environment and during multidisciplinary team meetings (such as IEP or 504 plan meetings).
Case Management: Maintain accurate, confidential records of student progress and coordinate with external healthcare providers or social service agencies.
Program Development: Implement school-wide initiatives related to mental health awareness, anti-bullying, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
Required QualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution.
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) is highly preferred and may be required for senior-level positions.
Certifications & SkillsRelevant state or regional licensure/certification as a School Social Worker.
Strong understanding of child development, family systems, and behavioral health.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional and empathetic tone with diverse populations.
Proficiency in digital record-keeping and case management software.
