Job Title: School Receptionist and Administration Assistant
Location: Ryecroft School, Walsall, West Midlands, WS2 7BH
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.00pm
Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

At Ryecroft School, we're looking for a welcoming and proactive Receptionist & Administration Assistant to become the heart of our school community. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From greeting visitors and supporting safeguarding processes to keeping the school office running smoothly, you'll play a vital part in helping our pupils thrive.

What You'll Be Doing
Be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, professionals and external agencies, creating a warm and professional welcome.
Manage the busy school reception, telephone enquiries, visitor sign-in processes and safeguarding procedures.
Support the day-to-day administration of the school, including correspondence, filing, data entry and document preparation.
Maintain school systems, registers, calendars, email inboxes and pupil records accurately and efficiently.
Assist with attendance monitoring, including contacting parents/carers regarding pupil absences.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, stationery supplies and office resources.
