School Receptionist

The School Office Team at Pate’s plays a vital role in the daily running of our school, working collaboratively to support students, staff, parents/carers and visitors. As the first point of contact for many who visit our school the team create a welcoming environment that reflects the school’s values. Whether supporting a student who is unwell, providing reprographics services to staff, liaising with parents/carers, or helping to locate lost uniform, no day is ever the same. This role promises job satisfaction aplenty, knowing that you have supported those that you come in to contact with in an efficient and effective way. The team really do make a difference to the daily lives of all those that study, work and visit here. We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a welcoming, organised and professional School Receptionist to become the friendly face at the heart of our School Office. As the first point of contact for visitors, parents/ carers, students and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a positive first impression of the school while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of a busy and varied environment. In this key role, you will manage reception duties including phone calls, emails, visitor sign in and message distribution, as well as supporting students with first aid needs, lost property and uniform loans. You will also take responsibility for the school’s reprographics service. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a calm and approachable manner, and the ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team. You will be methodical, discreet and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to providing an excellent service to all who visit the School Office.
