School Nurse

At Hanford Prep, the School Nurse plays a central role in supporting the health, wellbeing and pastoral care of our pupils. Working as part of the Boarding Team and wider school community, you will provide high-quality nursing care, health advice and medical support, while also overseeing key areas of medical administration, compliance and record keeping. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and proactive Registered Nurse who is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people in a busy and vibrant boarding school environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external healthcare professionals to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of pupils. Alongside delivering day-to-day nursing care, the role includes responsibilities such as developing wellbeing initiatives, managing medical records and care plans, supporting safeguarding practices, overseeing first aid provision across the school, and contributing to the wider boarding community. You will join a supportive and dedicated team, with the School funding your annual NMC registration fee and providing opportunities to contribute across the wider Sherborne Schools Group.
