About this role
The School Nurse holds an important place within the Boarding Team and wider Hanford Prep community. The role incorporates medical care of the pupils with wider duties relating to medical administration, compliance and general tasks within the boarding team.
You will be required to work to a rota to ensure medical cover at key times of the school week.
It is a condition of your employment that you maintain your membership with the relevant professional body (NMC) whilst in this post. The Sherborne Schools Group agree to pay the annual fee for this registration as part of your contract.
While the primary place of work will be Hanford Prep, the postholder will also be expected to contribute to and support initiatives across the wider Sherborne Schools Group.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-Time Fixed Term, Term Time Only.
Hours of work: Mondays and Tuesdays from 7.30am to 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays from 7.30am to 12.30pm during term-time. Flexibility in hours will be required on occasion to meet the demands of the post.
The role involves providing security and continuity of care to children at the school. Therefore, close co-operation with other nurses and boarding staff employed by the school is required with cover and flexibility essential.
