Salary: £13.34 p/hr to £14.43 p/hr depending on skills and experience

Aurora Wilden View School is looking for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with practical maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping buildings, grounds and facilities safe, compliant and well maintained. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our school environment remains welcoming, secure and fit for purpose for pupils, colleagues and visitors. Based at Aurora Wilden View School, the role combines planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance monitoring and site support activities.
Ideally we are looking for someone to work a split shift working Mon/Wed/Fri: 06.30am to 11.00am and then 2.30pm to 6.00pm AND Tues/Thurs: 06.30am to 2.30pm
What You'll Be Doing
As our Maintenance Technician, you will:
Carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across the school and associated buildings.
Complete regular inspections and planned preventative maintenance activities.
Support health and safety compliance, including fire safety, water safety and premises checks.
Maintain accurate electronic records of maintenance activities, inspections and audits.
Monitor and help manage contractors working on site.
Assist with site security, opening and closing procedures, and emergency responses.
Support school events and activities through the movement and setup of furniture and equipment.
Help ensure our buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard at all times.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who has:
Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities management, building services or a similar environment.
Practical skills across a variety of maintenance disciplines.
Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
