Pinner High School is a well-established secondary school located in the heart of Pinner, United Kingdom. We are seeking a qualified and experienced school counsellor/ therapist to join our school. The post is either for 1 or 2 days. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with secondary -aged students, providing a safe and supportive space to help them navigate a range of emotional and wellbeing needs.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer an alternative or creative approach to counselling- for example; art-based therapy, animal-assisted interventions or other non-traditional modalities that engage young people in different ways.

Job Description:
As a School Counsellor at Pinner High School, you will provide emotional and psychological support to our students, helping them navigate personal challenges and develop resilience. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff members to promote mental health awareness and create a positive school climate.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically
- Ability to build trusting relationships with young people
- Basic understanding of child development and adolescent psychology (training provided)
- Good organisational skills for managing caseloads effectively
- Willingness to learn new counselling techniques relevant to the school setting
- Relevant qualifications or training in counselling or psychology is desirable but not essential
