Overview
To ensure that the school premises are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition to provide a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. To carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with Claremont’s policies under the direction of the Principal.
Location: Claremont Senior School
Line Manager: Site Manager
Hours: 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and other areas of the school as directed.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
Empty and clean bins, ensuring waste is disposed of safely and correctly.
Refill soap, paper towel, and toilet roll dispensers as required.
Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors at safe heights.
Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults or shortages.
Follow all school health and safety procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning materials (COSHH).
Secure areas after cleaning to maintain site security.
Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
Assist with occasional deep cleans during school holidays or as required.
Support the wider facilities team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the school site.
Co-ordinate/hand over notes with the evening cleaning team
Co-ordinate stock levels with the maintenance team
