We are currently seeking to recruit a Cafe/Retail Assistant to work at The Bee Hive site on Saturdays, 6 hours a week.

In the first instance we are looking for someone who is personable, compassionate and can deliver an 'outstanding' service with a smile.
Job Purpose
To ensure the food preparation and delivery of a high quality service that meets customer needs.
To assist the café lead to promote the Bee Hive business and develop its potential within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
To prepare food in our busy café to a high standard to ensure customers are served in a timely manner. Food Hygiene certificate required but not essential as training can be given.
To liaise with the Café Lead and other staff to ensure that the café is always adequately resourced.
To efficiently manage stock, ensure that waste is recorded and minimized and the till reflects items sold (including gratis) and other issues handled.
To ensure that the café is always clean and tidy and meets food safety and Health and Safety standards, and that all volunteers and students are aware of their responsibilities. To ensure that opening and/or closing checks are conducted and weekly records maintained.
Team and Personal Development
Training (including Health and Safety Level I, First Aid and Safeguarding) would be an advantage to allow the performance of the wide range of café functions.
