Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy is a well-established school committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all our students. We are currently seeking a Non-Teaching Safeguarding Assistant to support the welfare of Looked After Children (LAC) and Previously Looked After Children (PLAC). This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about safeguarding and child welfare.
Role Overview:
As a Safeguarding Assistant, you will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to help ensure that LAC and PLAC receive appropriate support within the school. You will assist in monitoring their wellbeing, liaising with relevant professionals, maintaining records, and contributing to creating a safe learning environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Basic organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn about safeguarding policies and procedures related to LAC/PLAC children.

This position is full time (37 hours per week), term time only.
