Job Title: Language Arts Teacher (Middle School & High School) Department: Language Arts Department Location: Ruamrudee International School Phuket Position Type: Full-time Reports to: Head of Department Job Summary: The Language Arts Teacher (Middle School & High School) at Ruamrudee International School Phuket is responsible for delivering an engaging and rigorous English Language Arts program that develops students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills. The teacher fosters a positive learning environment where students become confident communicators, analytical readers, and effective writers. Reporting to the Head of Academic, the teacher plans and delivers standards-based instruction, assesses student learning, differentiates instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and collaborates with colleagues to continuously enhance the Language Arts curriculum across Middle School & High School. Key Responsibilities: Language Arts Instruction Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered Language Arts lessons for students in Middle School & High School. Develop students' reading comprehension, literary analysis, vocabulary, grammar, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Foster a lifelong appreciation for literature and effective communication. Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and independent learning. Curriculum Planning and Development Plan lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards and learning outcomes. Integrate fiction, nonfiction, poetry, media, and informational texts into instruction. Design meaningful learning experiences that develop analytical and academic writing skills. Collaborate with colleagues to continuously review and improve the Language Arts curriculum. Assessment and Student Progress Develop formative and summative assessments to monitor student achievement. Provide timely, constructive feedback that supports student growth.
