We are seeking an exceptional candidate with proven skills and relevant experience to join our vibrant boarding community in a residential role as Assistant Houseparent.
This is an are exciting opportunities to play a central role in shaping the experience of pupils within a thriving independent girls’ boarding environment. You will live and work within the boarding house, helping to create a warm, supportive and aspirational home-from-home where every pupil feels safe, valued and able to flourish.
About the Role
This role is integral to delivering outstanding pastoral care, ensuring that the boarding house is a safe, inclusive and well-run environment where pupils develop independence, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
You will support the Lead Houseparent in the smooth running of the house, providing high-quality supervision, pastoral care and contributing to a positive house culture.
This role requires an individual who can build strong relationships, uphold high standards, and contribute fully to the wider life of the school.
Salary £22,500 per annum.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
Relevant experience working with children and young people (boarding and pastoral experience highly desirable)
A strong commitment to pastoral care, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
High levels of organisation, resilience and adaptability
The ability to contribute positively to a team environment and wider school life.
Above all, we are looking for a dedicated and inspiring individual who will embrace boarding life and act as a positive role model for pupils.
Residential Requirement
This is a residential (live-in) position, and suitable accommodation is provided within the boarding house (see job descriptions for further details).
