About this role
Arnold House was founded in 1905 in St John’s Wood. It is an independent preparatory school located in London, NW8, for boys from 3 to 13, and a member of IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools). In our recent ISI inspection it was reported that pupils’ academic achievement and personal development are both excellent.
We are looking for a committed and inspiring Reception Teacher to join the friendly team in the Pre-Prep department at Arnold House.
You will have a passion for teaching children in the Early Years and an understanding of the ethos and aims of the School as a whole.
You will be responsible for establishing high standards of provision and pastoral care for the boys in this part of the School and for ensuring that boys are ready to transition smoothly to Year 1 at the end of their time in the Early Years. You will work in a team of Early Years professionals and with the Head of the Pre-Prep.
We offer a competitive salary and pension, a friendly work environment, free lunches during term time, and generous non-contact time.
In January we were awarded School Mental Health Gold Award by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools. Our school is known for its family ethos and being a great place to work. We are committed to promoting and protecting the mental and physical health of all our staff.
