Salary: Scale D, points 5-6 £25,583 - £25,989 (Actual £20,518 - £20,843)

Working Pattern: 34.5 hours, 39 weeks. 08:20 - 16:00, Monday - Thursday, 08:20 - 15:30 Friday

About You:
Caister Academy are seeking a proactive, self‑motivated Raising Achievement Mentor (Science) who can take initiative, communicate clearly, and build positive relationships with students. The ideal candidate will be confident leading small groups, able to step in to support lessons when needed, and bring a genuine enthusiasm for science alongside a solid grasp of core concepts.
We’re looking for someone adaptable, calm under pressure, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning. Experience in a school setting is desirable, and this role offers valuable hands‑on experience for anyone considering a future in science education, instructional coaching, or a broader science‑based career.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
Proven experience working in an educational environment
Proven experience in classroom management
Ability to use initiative and apply sound decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Our Science Department is a supportive, high‑performing team of eight teachers with a strong mix of experience and subject specialisms. The department delivers KS3, AQA Combined Science and Triple Science, and is well known across the Trust
