About this role
We are seeking a qualified and passionate RAD Ballet Teacher to join our growing dance department at Scarisbrick Hall, teaching in our purpose built dance studios. Due to increasing student participation and demand for high-quality ballet training across the school, we are looking to expand and strengthen our ballet provision with a dedicated RAD specialist.
The successful candidate will deliver Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus classes to primary-age students, alongside 1:1 private lessons for students across the school. You will play a key role in developing strong technical foundations, preparing students for examinations and performances, and nurturing a love of ballet in both group and individual settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach RAD syllabus ballet classes
Prepare and enter students for RAD examinations
Deliver structured, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons
Support students’ technical development in line with RAD standards
Prepare students for annual performances
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
Contribute positively to our supportive and ambitious teaching team

Qualifications (Essential):
RAD Registered Teacher Status (RTS)
A recognised RAD teaching qualification (e.g. CBTS, PDTD, or BA (Hons) Ballet Education)
Current registration with the Royal Academy of Dance and eligibility to enter students for RAD examinations
Requirements:
Experience teaching RAD syllabus ballet classes
Experience working with primary-age children
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners
Strong understanding of safe dance practice
