We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our Early Years team. Position: PYP Homeroom Teacher Education Stage: Early Years Curriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Position Type: Full-time Teacher Start Date: April 1, 2027, or earlier by mutual agreement While the anticipated start date is April 1, 2027, we are continuously recruiting and welcome applications from candidates who are available to begin sooner. An immediate start is also possible, and the actual start date can be discussed based on the successful candidate’s availability. Job Description: As a PYP Homeroom Teacher at Beyondia International School, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that fosters inquiry-based learning. You will guide young students through their early educational journey by implementing the IB PYP framework and encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (minimum requirement) At least two years of teaching experience with young children Strong understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme philosophy and practices Ability to design and deliver age-appropriate lessons that promote inquiry-based learning Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage but is not required Classroom management skills that support positive behavior and student engagement A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a diverse teaching team Values and Attitudes: Commitment to fostering a caring, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture Passion for working with young learners and supporting their holistic development Open-mindedness toward different cultures
