Contract: 0.2 FTE, 2 mornings per week 8.30am – 12.55pm (days can be flexible)
Salary: up to £44,785 per annum PRO RATA (£8,957 pa at 0.2 FTE)
Job Start Date: 3 Sept 2026 - for approximately 3 months (up to end of Nov 2026) or until the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.

The School is looking to appoint a part-time Psychology Teacher (maternity cover) to join our successful academic department, working two mornings per week. Pupils at the school follow the AQA A-level course. The successful candidate should have a genuine passion for psychology and the ability to convey this to pupils is essential. You will join a dedicated and supportive staff environment and will enjoy the use of specialist science labs and teaching equipment. The school also offers the advantage of small classes, talented and committed students with strong public examination results.
Main duties:
To teach Psychology according to departmental planning schemes of work and examination syllabi.
To promote, monitor and support student learning and progress within the Psychology Department.
To contribute to the development of the science curriculum and the Department as a whole.
Teaching and Learning:
Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group that you teach
Be responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials and teaching programmes as appropriate.
