Branston Community Academy, in partnership with John Leggott College, is launching an ambitious and innovative approach to sixth form provision in the City of Lincoln.
This partnership brings together the high‑performing pastoral and academic expertise of John Leggott College with the local strength, aspiration, and community reach of Branston Community Academy, creating a sixth form experience that is truly student‑centred, future‑focused and transformational.
As part of this exciting new venture, we are seeking two outstanding Progress Tutors to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our sixth form students from the very start.
The Role
Progress Tutors are at the heart of our sixth form model. You will act as the key pastoral and academic advocate for a cohort of students, delivering high‑quality tutorial provision, monitoring progress, attendance, and engagement, and working closely with teaching staff to ensure every learner thrives.
You will support students to develop strong study habits and academic skills, resilience, independence, and confidence and clear progression plans for higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
This is a role for professionals who believe that exceptional pastoral care and academic rigour go hand in hand.
The role is primarily based at Branston Community Academy, Lincoln, where you will work daily with students and staff as part of the sixth form team.
As this is a genuine partnership role, there will be a requirement on specific dates to work from John Leggott College, Scunthorpe, for activities such as training, moderation, partnership events and quality assurance.
