About this role
The Principal is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the School, reporting to the Board of Governors of The
I.S.P. Schools Association, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the School, including key functions such
as the hiring and termination of staff. The Principal is responsible for ensuring high standards of teaching and
learning, staff and student wellbeing, university readiness, faculty development and alignment with the
school’s mission and international accreditation standards. In practice, the Principal is responsible for the
management, monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of school life across six key areas; shaping the future,
leading learning and teaching, developing self and working with others, managing the organisation, securing
accountability and strengthening the community.
I. SHAPING THE FUTURE
Work collaboratively with the Governing Body, the Trustees of The ISP Schools Association and others to ensure
that the School Guiding Statements, Vision and Mission and Strategic Plan are effective and pertinent to the
School’s priorities.
Develop the capacity of the senior leadership team in the areas of collaboration and planning to meet the future
needs of the school.
Lead initiatives to expand student enrolment while maintaining academic excellence, diversity and student
wellbeing.
Understand and facilitate CIS and IB authorisation processes. Supporting the whole school in their efforts to grow
and develop throughout the process, and strengthen curriculum alignment with international standards
Work within the School community to translate the Vision and Mission into agreed objectives and operational plans
which promote and sustain continual school improvement.
In support of the development of future Strategic Plans undertake a review of the Guiding Statements with all
stakeholders.
Motivate and work with all stakeholders to create a cohesive and positive culture.
