Primary Year Leader

Taylor's International School Puchong is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Year Leader for the Primary School. This role has oversight of the academic and guidance aspects of that Year Group. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Year Leader for our Primary School who is ready to inspire and enthuse a community of children, teachers and parents. Experience of working in international education and the Primary school ages are strong advantages. We are seeking passionate educators who have a strong desire to work as coaches and mentors so as to further develop the very best pedagogical practices in and out of the classroom. The first responsibility of any leader at TIS Puchong Primary School is to aid learning, both for children and for members of our faculty. The second responsibility of any leader at TIS Puchong is to get the best out of the teachers they lead and help them grow as educators and as leaders. The third responsibility of any leader at TIS Puchong is to model the Taylor’s RECIPE, enriched with the Taylor’s outcomes in all of our interaction within our school community. The fourth responsibility of any leader at TIS Puchong is to help the school to be a sustainable, reputable provider, attractive to local and international families. The year leader is expected to work in close collaboration with the Assistant Year Leaders. Successful candidates will lead a team of teachers and TAs and to contribute to the learning and teaching in that year group. The school uses the International Primary Curriculum in conjunction with the National curriculum for England, and so experience with the IPC would be beneficial. This role offers an opportunity to the successful candidate to not only become completely immersed in the learning of students but also to have a central role in mentoring and coaching the Malaysian teachers in the year group.
