About this role
The role of the Primary Class Teacher is to plan, teach and assess primary education lessons that encourage pupils to develop their physical, social, and emotional skills while achieving their full potential. The teacher must set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils, fostering a positive attitude towards physical activity and overall well-being. As a qualified educator, the primary Class Teacher will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse abilities, build pupils’ confidence, and equip them with essential physical and teamwork skills. With experience teaching primary, the teacher will ensure age-appropriate activities that support motor skill development and introduce young learners to the joy of movement.
Primary Class Teacher Key Responsibilities
Requirements and duties:
Ensure that learning is at the centre of strategic planning and resource. Lead and support the teaching and learning of all children within the school through promoting models of excellent classroom practice coaching, mentoring and supported self-evaluation for teaching staff
Manage and monitor the design, development and implementation of processes for the collection of useful, timely, and accurate assessment data to track the progress of individual and groups of children in order to inform planning, evaluate performance, track progress and secure raised achievement across all key stages. This will include agreeing and articulating high expectations and setting stretching targets for the whole community
Monitor the effectiveness of teaching and learning through teachers’ planning, work sampling and scrutiny, lesson observations, supporting auditing and reporting outcomes, successful or otherwise and planning next steps and future actions
Takes a strategic role in the development of new and emerging technologies to enhance and extend the learning experience of pupils
Lead curriculum development throughout the primary phase to ensure the delivery of
