Location: Higford School, Near Shifnal, Shropshire TF11 9ET
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £44,310 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time
Start: June 2026

We are seeking a nurturing Primary Teacher who is passionate about supporting children with a diverse range of needs, including those with autism, communication differences, attachment needs and other complex profiles. You’ll join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team working together to create a learning environment where every child can flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
What you’ll do:
As a Primary Teacher, you will:
Deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching across a range of subjects, ensuring every child experiences success and meaningful progress.
Embrace neuro‑affirming, trauma‑informed and relationship‑based approaches to support pupils’ wellbeing and learning.
Work closely with therapists, leaders, families and external agencies to create individualised learning pathways and therapeutic education plans.
Model effective strategies for colleagues, supporting the development of inclusive practice across the school.
Create a safe, stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment that nurtures independence, communication and confidence.
Use assessment thoughtfully to celebrate progress, identify next steps and shape future learning.
