Grateley House School is a specialist day school for children and young people aged 11-19 with a diagnosis of autism and other associated needs. We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and innovative Primary Teacher.
The school delivers the National Curriculum and students are supported to access a range of subjects by experienced subject teachers and teaching assistants, with input from a therapy team. The successful candidate will ensure that our students engage in learning and are equipped with all the tools they need to progress.
The Role
We are seeking a committed, creative, and reflective teacher to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in establishing our new Key Stage 2 provision, delivering engaging and adaptable lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and success in learners with additional needs.
Working alongside experienced teaching assistants and our in-house therapy team, you will ensure every student has the tools, confidence, and support to thrive—both academically and personally.
Deliver high-quality teaching within our Key Stage 2 provision.
Support students to access the National Curriculum at an appropriate level.
Adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
Motivate and engage learners through inclusive, creative practice.
Provide meaningful feedback to support progress and build confidence.
Contribute to enrichment and the wider life of the school.
Work collaboratively within a skilled and forward-thinking team.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching at Key Stage 2
Strong classroom management and a flexible, responsive teaching style
A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A genuine passion for working with young people with SEND
