Core Responsibilities: Teaching: - Develop and deliver engaging classes aligned with College Board and ETS standards for TOEFL and SAT, respectively. - Utilise diverse teaching methods like lectures, discussions, activities, and technology to cater to various learning styles. - Design practice tests, mock exams, and personalised homework assignments to reinforce learning and identify areas for improvement. Project-based learning (PBL) - Design and implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities that integrate language skills with content knowledge. - Facilitate collaborative projects, problem-solving tasks, and real-world applications to enhance student learning and engagement. - Assess and evaluate student performance on PBL projects, providing feedback and guidance for improvement. - Collaborate with colleagues to align PBL activities with curriculum goals and standards. Task-based learning (TBL) - Design and implement Task-Based Learning (TBL) activities that engage students in real-world tasks, problem-solving, and authentic language use. - Develop task sequences that integrate language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and promote communicative competence. - Create task-based projects, simulations, role-plays, and interactive activities that encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Curriculum Integration - Integrate TBL activities into the ESL curriculum, aligning with language proficiency levels, learning objectives, and educational standards. - Develop task-based units, lesson plans, and materials that scaffold language learning and facilitate meaningful language use in context.
