About this role
The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a great school in a wonderful location. We are an HMC school and were judged by a recent BSO (British Schools Overseas) inspection to be outstanding in every area, including quality of education, safeguarding, pupil welfare and academic outcomes.
BSB is a large, very popular school for children aged 3 to 18. Our curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum, and we offer a wide range of GCSEs, A levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, all alongside a significant enrichment programme.
Over 2000 pupils from more than 74 nationalities attend the school and over 315 staff work at BSB, across three locations. In 2026 we will be expanding our school, adding a state of the art campus at Maresme, east of Barcelona city. The campus will initially enrol students from Nursery to Year 6 in 2026, expanding to Year 13 in 2028. This is an exciting new development with a range of specialist facilities including: state of the art classrooms, science labs, fully equipped music and art facilities and rehearsal spaces, dedicated play, social and study spaces, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities all set in stunning surroundings with the mountains as a backdrop and the coast as the frame. This is a truly exceptional setting for learning.
BSBโs reputation for ensuring the very best student experience, along with strong academic outcomes and a programme that focuses on building character and developing global mindset has seen the school grow from strength to strength. However, we do not rest on our laurels, we always seek to improve, and this can be seen from our approach to teacher development, through active professional learning communities and reflective practice.
Our growth means that we are now looking for an additional, exceptional teacher to join us. If you would like to be part of something special and shape an exciting next step in your career, we would like to hear from you.
