Raffles American School Bangkok is seeking a nurturing, creative, and student-centered Early Years Teacher to join our international school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that foster curiosity, independence, and foundational skills in our youngest learners. Early Years Teachers at RAS play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can explore, grow, and thrive.
Job Summary
Early Years Teachers at RAS are expected to:
Inspire and engage young learners through play-based and inquiry-driven activities.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Promote inclusion, ensuring all children are valued and supported in their learning journey.
Collaborate respectfully within the school community and contribute to ongoing improvement.
Continuously develop professionally, embracing new learning and best practices.
Lead curriculum development tailored to the needs and interests of Early Years students.
Teachers work from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm during regular school days, with weekly expectations including approximately 22 teaching hours, 5 break hours, 5 planning hours, 3 meeting/training hours, and 5 duty hours.
Specific Responsibilities
Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment for young children.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Assess and document student progress through observation and portfolio evidence.
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student growth and wellbeing.
Model professional conduct and nurture positive behavior in students.
Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with peers.
