We are currently seeking an experienced Premises Officer to join our team and help maintain the school's facilities to the highest standards.
Job Overview:
The Premises Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all school buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and secure. This role involves carrying out routine maintenance tasks, managing repairs, overseeing health and safety compliance, and supporting events held on site.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in premises management or a similar facilities role
- Practical skills in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical work (basic), carpentry, painting/decorating
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to schools or public buildings
- Ability to manage contractors effectively when external services are required
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
