Laboratory Technician – Biology/Physics (20hrs Term time only)
Start: 24th August 2026
Salary: SFCA non-teaching staff salary scale points 7 to 11 including Outer London Allowance
Contract: Term time only, Part- time, 20 hrs per week, 39 weeks (8.00am – 12.00pm)
We are seeking an enthusiastic Technician with experience of a similar role in a school, college or a professional laboratory. The ideal candidate will be educated to at least ‘A’ Level standard (‘A’ level Biology/Physics is a requirement).
Reporting to the Senior Technician, you will be preparing resources for ‘A’ Level Biology/Physics lessons at the request of the science teachers, ensuring that these resources are provided efficiently. Science subjects are a popular choice for our students and as such this is a busy role. The science technicians play an essential role in the smooth running of the department. A good understanding of laboratory conditions and related Health & Safety precautions is expected.
The successful applicant will:
· Have experience of working in a similar role within an educational or professional establishment
· Has a stated passion for Science
· Be highly organised, have a can-do attitude and is always willing to support our students
