Post-16 Teacher
The role is a Permanent, Term-Time only role
Monday to Friday: (08:30am – 17:00pm)
Salary from: Starting from £34,300, depending on qualifications and experience
To Start: September 2026
As the Post-16 provisions continue to develop, we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and dynamic teacher to plan and deliver across a range of subjects. Working predominantly with students on the Growth in Occupation, Ambition in Life Skills (GOALS) provision, the teacher will be part of a small, transdisciplinary team building a curriculum that responds to the therapeutic needs of the cohort.
The curriculum is therapy-led, dynamically planned and underpinned by the Life & Living Skills Entry Level qualification. Sessions may be based onsite or involve travelling offsite with students, and may include Literacy & Communication, Numeracy, ICT, PSHE, Art & Design, active sessions, volunteering, leisure activities and more. The teaching timetable of the successful applicant may also include lessons for students on the Employability and College Link provisions.
Requirements of the role:
• Supporting students’ learning in school sessions.
• Meeting with students on a 1:1 basis.
• Communicating with the wider staff team at Blossom House as and when required.
• Building positive working relationships with the transdisciplinary team in Post 16.
• Travelling offsite with groups of students as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Supporting our students can sometimes be challenging, mental and physical resilience are qualities necessary for all our staff.
• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for helping students.
• Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• The ability to build good working relationships in a proactive and confident manner with children, teachers, parents and carers
• Experience of working with children and young people with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly
