We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PBS Specialist to join our team and play a key role in supporting Children and young people (CYP) with complex needs. As a PBS Specialist, you will provide specialist behavioural assessment and intervention support within your designated setting. Working closely with education teams, families, and multidisciplinary professionals, you will help young people better understand and manage behaviours of distress through proactive, therapeutic, and person-centred approaches.
You will manage a fluid caseload that is prioritised according to the needs of the cohort and will deliver both direct and indirect interventions in line with PBS principles.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake functional behavioural assessments and develop effective PBS interventions and support programmes
Deliver, oversee, and review individualised multi-component PBS Plans
Work collaboratively with class teams to embed effective PBS practice across the setting
Train, coach, and motivate staff teams, parents, carers, and other professionals to confidently support children and young people with complex behavioural needs
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in Positive Behaviour Support and functional assessment approaches
Skilled in developing and implementing behaviour support plans
Confident in delivering training, coaching, and practical support to staff teams
Calm, resilient, and solution-focused in challenging situations
Committed to person-centred practice and improving quality of life outcomes
