Deyes High School is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Pastoral Support Assistant to join our dedicated Pastoral Team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role within our pastoral and inclusion provision, supporting students to achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally. You will work closely with a designated year group, providing day-to-day pastoral support and acting as a key point of contact for students, parents/carers and staff.
The role involves supporting behaviour, attendance and wellbeing, working proactively to identify and address barriers to learning. You will contribute to targeted intervention strategies, build positive relationships with families, and work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral leaders and external agencies to ensure students receive the right support at the right time.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with young people and supporting their development
Is confident managing behaviour and promoting positive attitudes to learning
Has excellent communication and organisational skills
Can build strong, professional relationships with students, families and colleagues
Is resilient, proactive and committed to making a difference
