We seek to appoint a Pastoral Officer (Assistant Head of Year/House) to join an established team who support students with their behaviour and attendance and, in particular, to support students to reflect on their behaviour before reintegrating them back into lessons.
The ideal candidate will have a commanding presence, be firm, fair and consistent, and be able to relate to young people in a calm, supportive and positive manner.
The successful candidate will find the school is a purposeful and supportive learning environment, with a strong team of staff who are highly committed to raising student achievement. Each Pastoral Officer is linked to a House and works alongside the House Lead to support and motivate students in their House.
This is a permanent post. The hours of duty are 8.00am – 3.45pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 8.00am – 4.00pm Tuesday and Thursday, including an unpaid break of 30 minutes each day, term time plus training days.
