We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, self-motivated and enthusiastic teacher of Physics, who will help us provide the best possible learning experiences and outcomes for our students.
THE CURRICULUM AREA
Staff
The Physics, Electronics, Computer Science and IT (PECIT) team comprises 4 experienced Physics technicians and 13 highly experienced and dedicated teaching staff of which 5 teach A-Level Physics and contribute to the L3 Vocational Science qualification. We are looking for a Physics teacher who can contribute to both A-Level Physics (AQA specification) and the Physics component of the AAQ Applied Science qualification (Pearson specification). An ability to contribute to other subjects within the curriculum area would be desirable although not essential.
Resources
Major laboratory refurbishment throughout the Sciences and IT has taken place recently. We have an extremely well-resourced Physics department, with lots of support from our team of 4 Physics technicians. We now have an exceptionally well-resourced curriculum area all on the University Road campus.

This is a part time 0.4 FTE, term-time fixed-term post commencing on Monday 17th August 2026.
