Job specification Plan and deliver engaging, play-based music lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum, fostering creativity, confidence and a love of music. Lead interactive sessions incorporating singing, rhythm, movement and the use of simple instruments. Use strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy to inspire and motivate young learners. Plan lessons that reflect children’s individual needs, interests and developmental stages. Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including children with SEND and EAL. Observe and assess children’s musical development in line with EYFS assessment practices. Establish and maintain positive behaviour expectations in line with school policy. Use ICT and appropriate technologies to enhance teaching and learning. Support school performances, assemblies, productions and enrichment activities.
