Job Title: Outdoor Education Instructor
Location: Red Moor School, Lanlivery, PL30 5BT
Hours: 42.5 per week | Monday–Friday | 8am - 4.30pm
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: July 2026

We’re looking for a passionate Outdoor Education Instructor to help shape and deliver an exceptional outdoor learning programme that supports our students’ personal, social, and academic development. This is a role for someone who loves variety, embraces challenge, and wants to make a real difference every single day.
What you will be doing
Supporting the development and delivery of a high‑quality Outdoor Education programme across the school
Planning and leading engaging group and 1:1 outdoor learning sessions, working closely with class teachers to create cross‑curricular links
Attending team meetings and contributing to discussions on planning, equipment, training, and resources
Building and maintaining positive relationships with external activity providers such as climbing walls and watersport centres
Ensuring all equipment is safe, maintained, stored correctly, and ready for use, including bikes and specialist kit
Assisting with equipment lists, hire arrangements, risk assessments, and Educational Visit documentation
Using in‑house systems to track and record student progress and supporting students to achieve awards such as DofE, NICAS, and Paddle Power
Taking an active role in planning and delivering daily outdoor trips and wider educational visits
