Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: £24,132.00 per annum (not pro rata)

About the Role

At Stretton Shires School, we're looking for a compassionate, patient and dedicated Multi-Sensory Intervenor (Unqualified) to join our specialist team supporting pupils with Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI/Deafblindness) and complex communication needs.
This is a unique opportunity to develop specialist skills while working alongside experienced teachers, therapists and sensory impairment professionals. Full training and support will be provided, including the opportunity to work towards the NatSIP Multi-Sensory Intervenor Qualification.
As a Multi-Sensory Intervenor, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop communication, build independence and participate fully in school and community life.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with multi-sensory impairment and complex needs.
Support pupils to access learning, communication, social interaction and everyday experiences.
Use a range of communication approaches, including objects of reference, tactile symbols, signing, communication aids and assistive technology.
Help pupils develop confidence, independence, emotional regulation and life skills.
Adapt learning resources to make them accessible and meaningful for individual pupils.
Support the use of specialist hearing, vision and communication equipment.
Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews and pupil planning.
