MS Learning Support Teacher

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION The Learning Support Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The Learning Support Teacher has a deep understanding of different learning styles and is skilled in implementing effective strategies to help students succeed academically and develop essential skills. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred). • Teaching certification in Special Education. • Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs. • Strong knowledge of various learning disabilities and behavioral disorders • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome learning challenges. • Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools. • Continuous commitment to professional development and staying updated on the latest research and best practices in special education. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assessment and Individualized Planning • Conduct assessments to identify students’ learning needs and challenges. • Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs / SENs) for students with diverse learning needs. • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to design appropriate accommodations and modifications for students. Instruction and Support • Provide direct instruction to students both inside and outside the classroom setting. • Utilize various teaching methods and tools to accommodate different learning styles. • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. • Offer academic and behavioral support to help students overcome challenges and build self-confidence.
