MS Learning Support Teacher

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION The Learning Support Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The Learning Support Teacher a deep understanding of different learning styles and be skilled in implementing effective strategies to help students succeed academically and develop essential skills. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred). • Teaching certification in Special Education. • Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs. • Strong knowledge of various learning disabilities and behavioral disorders • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome learning challenges. • Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools. • Continuous commitment to professional development and staying updated on the latest research and best practices in special education. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assessment and Individualized Planning • Conduct assessments to identify students’ learning needs and challenges. • Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs / SENs) for students with diverse learning needs. • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to design appropriate accommodations and modifications for students. Instruction and Support • Provide direct instruction to students both inside and outside the classroom setting. • Utilize various teaching methods and tools to accommodate different learning styles. • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. • Offer academic and behavioral support to help students overcome challenges and build self-confidence.
