Middle School Social Studies

Position: Middle School Social Studies Teacher Department: Social Sciences Education Stage: Middle School Curriculum: Common Core Position Type: Full-time Teacher Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and effective social studies lessons aligned with the Common Core standards. - Foster critical thinking, inquiry, and understanding of historical, geographical, political, and cultural concepts. - Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and support school initiatives. - Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and academic growth. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies/History/Geography or related field (minimum requirement). - At least 2 years of teaching experience in middle school social studies or related subjects. - Strong knowledge of the Common Core curriculum standards for social studies. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learners effectively. - Proficient classroom management skills ensuring a productive learning atmosphere. - Ability to integrate technology into lesson plans for enhanced learning experiences.
