Maths Teacher – Job DescriptionJob Title: Maths Teacher Location: Falcons Learning (Goole, DN14) Contract Type: Full time School Capacity: Up to 40 students Salary: £33,000-£39,700 Main Purpose of the RoleTeach mathematics across relevant key stages, from KS1 up to Level 2, to secondary pupils. Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons tailored to mixed-ability groups, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately. Implement adaptive curriculum techniques, including differentiated instruction, intervention, and catch-up programmes. Develop and maintain effective classroom management and behaviour support. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing personalised learning plans where necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and parents/carers to support holistic pupil development. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver mathematics lessons in line with school policies and curriculum requirements. Teach and support up to 40 students per class, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and inform intervention or catch-up strategies. Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and positive behaviour. Contribute to the development of schemes of work and curriculum planning. Liaise with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils. Participate in continuous professional development and relevant training. Person SpecificationQualifications and Training Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Degree in Mathematics or related subject Evidence of recent professional development related to teaching and learning Experience Successful teaching experience with secondary pupils, ideally from KS1 to Level 2 Experience planning and delivering lessons to mixed-ability groups Experience with differentiated instruction, intervention, and catch-up programmes Experience using assessment and data trackin
