Maths & English Tutor (SEND)

TMP College is an Independent Specialist College based in the North West of England, committed to providing high-quality education and support to all students. We are currently seeking a dedicated Maths/English Tutor (SEND) to join our Maths & English department. This role focuses on teaching Functional Skills Interventions to small groups and 1:1 tailored for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Position: Maths/English Tutor (SEND) Department: Maths & English Subject: Maths & English Curriculum: Functional Skills/GCSE Education Stage: Further Education/SEND Minimum Experience: 2 years Position Type: Teacher Job Description: As a Maths and English Tutor at TMP College, you will deliver engaging and inclusive sessions to SEND learners. You will play a key role in supporting the academic progress and personal development of your students by adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs. Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Maths & English subjects. - Proven experience working with SEND learners. - Strong knowledge of Maths & English curriculum. - Ability to design creative lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.. - Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
