About this role
Mathematics Teacher (Year 7 to 13, including GCSE and A Level)
Required from September/October 2025 to February/March 2026 (with possibility for extension)
Full time teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover)
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and engaging Mathematics teacher to join Mougins British International School at an exciting stage of our school’s history. We seek to educate our students to think critically, stretch their learning, and approach life with curiosity and open-mindedness.
The role is both full time and hugely fulfilling, with an opportunity to teach KS3, IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics. Experience in IGCSE and Cambridge A-Level is beneficial, but not essential.
In our Mathematics Department, you will work with a group of highly skilled colleagues dedicated to bringing out the best in each student. They instill a breadth of knowledge and a real understanding of how to think and question as they help prepare our students for life in a rapidly changing world. It is a community of educators who take their vocation seriously, work hard and are respected by their peers and students.
An opportunity to work across departments awaits, especially in our ‘Thrive’ Programme, where students choose activities and programmes to stretch and challenge themselves. Our Lego Mindstorms robotics programme has been phenomenally successful this year. Student-led and staff-facilitated, the Computer Room and outside spaces have been literally buzzing with A.I. experiments and investigations. Such student enthusiasm is everywhere at MBIS and is a terrific boon for our teachers and their ambitions to lift our cohort to ever higher achievement.
The school itself is located near the beautiful hilltop village of the same name in the south of France. Situated between the Alps and the Mediterranean, it offers a unique quality of life that is truly unparalleled for those looking to spend time outdoors benefiting from the wonderful southern European climate.
