Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a highly organised Local Governing Committee Clerk / Governance Professional to support effective governance across The Collegiate Trust. This part-time role is ideal for a skilled administrator looking to extend their working hours, with attendance required at evening meetings, typically between 5–8pm.
The successful candidate will ensure Local Governing Committees operate efficiently and in line with statutory requirements, providing professional clerking support, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate governance records. You will work closely with Chairs, Principals, Governors and the Central Team, supporting strong communication and effective governance across the Trust.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You will be a confident communicator, able to build positive working relationships and handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience in clerking or governance is desirable but not essential; however, a commitment to accuracy, organisation and high standards is key, along with a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
