Bacon’s has long been an important part of the fabric of the local community in South East London and has served the community in its various forms for over three hundred years. We are proud of that history and determined to meet the needs of students today and tomorrow. The school joined United Learning in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength since. Bacon’s is a thriving community that is welcoming of students of all faiths and those of none. We do not apologise for insisting that all students behave well and work hard. Bacon’s achievements were recognised by Ofsted in June 2022 when we received a grading of ‘Good’ overall and in every area. In 2024 our GCSE outcomes were our best ever with 56% of students achieving grade 5+ in English and Maths and a P8 of +0.4. Our VI form results were excellent with 58% of grades at A*-B.
