We are currently looking for a Level 3 Pastoral Assistant. The school supports young people aged 7 - 19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs. We offer life skills and a wide range of GCSE/ Functional Skills/BTEC accreditations alongside a functional skills/entry level pathway. Behaviours across the school are excellent. The role: You will work as part of the pastoral team, supporting the Behaviour Lead, teaching staff, and wider professionals to meet the needs of students aged 7–19 who may experience social communication challenges, anxiety, or barriers to learning. This is a proactive, student-facing role where you will contribute to positive behaviour approaches while focusing on pastoral care and wellbeing. You will provide 1:1 check-ins, targeted support, and wellbeing interventions, helping students to engage with both the academic and social aspects of school life. You will also play a key role in supporting students during unstructured times, responding to incidents, and helping to re-engage students back into learning.
