Level 2 Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant at Bluecoat Aspley, you will have the opportunity to embody the Academy’s ‘courageously inclusive’ ethos. The department supports one of the widest ranges of students within the city allowing staff the unique opportunity to develop skills across subjects, SEND needs and a variety of provisions. You will work as an inclusion champion ensuring that students are able to access the academic, social and well-being provision on offer at the Academy. The Academy has an outstanding reputation for SEND provision in the City amongst parents and professionals. We are looking to appoint passionate candidates who can fulfil the role of Level 2 Teaching Assistant at Archway Learning Trust. Level 2 TAs have a leadership and small group teaching role within the Learning Support Base. These roles are dependent on level of experience and level of expertise. However, level 2 TAs will take on the role of supporting a team of Level 1 TAs. Level 2 TAs are role models for other staff who are developing their Level 1 TA roles and will liaise closely with Pastoral Leads, Curriculum Leads and external agencies where appropriate.
