Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant

Meynell Nursery & Primary School are currently seeking a Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and support children with special educational needs and disabilities. Position: Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant Position Type: Other Support Positions Minimum Qualification: Certificate Minimum Experience: No previous experience required Job Description: As a Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop their skills in a nurturing environment. Skills and Qualifications: - Hold at least a relevant Level 2 Certificate (e.g., CACHE or equivalent) related to supporting teaching or special educational needs - Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team - Good communication skills, both verbal and written - Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children who have diverse learning needs - Willingness to learn new strategies for supporting pupils effectively Values and Attitudes: - Commitment to promoting inclusion within the school community - Positive attitude towards working with children of all abilities - Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in all aspects of your role - Respect for confidentiality regarding pupil information - Enthusiasm for contributing positively to children's development both academically and socially If you are passionate about making a difference in children's lives by providing tailored support within an encouraging school setting, we would love to hear from you.
