Leisure Attendant

Millfield School is seeking casual Leisure Attendants to provide lifeguard cover across our swimming facilities during busy periods, particularly late afternoons, evenings and weekends. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and professional team within one of the UK's leading independent schools. We are looking for confident, reliable individuals with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all users. A valid NPLQ qualification is essential. Previous lifeguarding, leisure or customer service experience would be advantageous, although full support will be provided for the right candidate. What you will be doing: Providing lifeguard cover at both the Millfield Senior Pool and Millfield Prep Pool Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pool users Maintaining high standards of health and safety and adhering to operational procedures Supervising the Cricket Centre and Golf Centre as required Delivering a welcoming and professional service to students, staff and visitors About You We are looking for someone who: Holds a current NPLQ qualification Communicates confidently and works well as part of a team Has a positive and proactive approach to their work Can remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents Is flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and school holidays Working Hours & Salary: Casual, zero-hours contract Predominantly evenings and weekends Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, subject to pool bookings £11.44 per hour plus statutory holiday pay Applicants aged 21 and over will receive £12.71 per hour Benefits In addition to being part of a supportive team, you'll enjoy a range of staff benefits, including: Discounted freshly prepared lunches for just £10.30 per month Access to excellent school facilities Employee Assistance Programme offering discounts and cashback at high street retailers and restaurants Please note that applications
