Position Overview:
We are seeking a Legal Studies teacher with a specialism or strong interest in teaching Business Studies to join our Middle & Senior School team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian curriculum, support student development in legal studies and business studies skills, and contribute positively to our vibrant school community.
Key Result Area/Responsibilities:
Provide an exemplary student-centred, ICT rich learning experience for students in your care.
Plan, program and deliver high quality teaching and learning activities that are designed to meet the diverse needs within any class.
Maintain a safe and secure educational environment meeting appropriate standards of behaviour.
Assess and report in line with School expectations.
Undertake tasks associated with the ongoing development of the School’s curriculum.
Develop productive and respectful relationships with parents and colleagues to ensure effective learning for students at the School.
Participate in professional growth.
Contribute to the provision of a rich and diverse co-curricular experience for students in the School.
Consistently demonstrate the characteristics of an ‘Inspired and Passionate AISM teacher’.
Other duties as directed by the Principal or Head of School.
Skills and Knowledge:
Experienced in and able to teach Legal Studies and Business Studies.
Proven skills in designing, implementing and evaluating differentiated and inspirational learning experiences for students.
Proven skills in using ICT to improve student engagement and learning.
Knowledge and experience applying the principles of Visible Learning would be highly regarded.
Expertise and experience leading/coaching sports or co-curricular activities.
Spoken and written English is used for all school communications and as such a high standard of English communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening is required to be successful in this position.
