Lecturer – Science (Physics) (1FTE)

About the Role Morley College London is seeking to appoint a Lecturer – Science (Physics) to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within our Science curriculum area, with a primary focus on Physics modules across a range of courses. Based at our North Kensington Centre, the successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, course planning, student assessment and quality enhancement, supporting learners to achieve their full potential and progress successfully. The role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, developing learning resources, supporting student progress, and contributing to internal and external moderation processes. You will also provide advice, guidance and tutorial support to students, including progression routes and applications to accredited courses or higher education where appropriate. Working closely with colleagues across the School and wider College, you will help ensure strong student attendance, retention, achievement and overall learner experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Physics specialist to join a collaborative and student-focused curriculum team at Morley College London About you You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline and will have experience of teaching Physics up to Level 3. You will hold an appropriate teaching qualification, such as DET, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent, and have a strong record of planning and delivering high-quality accredited teaching. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support and motivate students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. You will be confident in assessing learner progress, giving effective feedback and using quality assurance processes to improve teaching, learning and student outcomes.
